The Duchess was situated at 152 Hovingham Drive. This pub was put up for sale in February 2025 and closed on 25 April 2025. It is claimed the pub barely broke even. However, a community group supported by CAMRA and Campaign for Protection of Pubs is trying to stop property being converted to flats. Its location close to Scarborough Hospital and the Woodlands Crematorium make it a useful community social hub.
