The Gunmakers Arms was situated at 93 Bath Street. The 200-year-old pub, which underwent a considerable refurbishment with Ozzy Osbourne-themed artwork, after initially closing in summer 2025, closed for good in 2026, six months after re-opening. The owner, local artist Mason Newman, who has worked with big pop names Osbourne and Madonna, claims it is because of rising operating costs, employer costs, higher taxes, and his own mental health.
