The Staplegrove Inn was situated at the
junction of Staplegrove Road and Greenway Road, closed in the late 2000s.
When I was a boarder at Taunton School it used to be a favourite place for a
"prep break pint" we used to run to the pub from Taunton School, sink a
pint, and run back via Mozzies (Greenway Motors) for the second half of
prep. We may have even preordered pints by phone. |

My parents Nick and Gwen Carter ran
this pub. it was a typical edge of town pub with a regular local
clientele. good time here. Sad to see it in its present state. |
