The University House was situated south of Weirs Mill, just off Weirs Lane (itself just off Abingdon Road). Access from south Oxford was via a farm track, east Oxford via a footbridge over the Thames, city via the towpath or a dangerous trip by punt.  This pub was formerly known as The Weirs and closed c1920. Now used as a private house.
