The Marlborough Arms was situated at 5 High Street (now St Thomas Street). This pub was present by 1753 when it was known as The Shoulder Of Mutton. It changed its name to The Marlborough Arms in the mid 1870s and closed in 2010. It has now been converted to a private residence.
