The Blue Boar was situated at 1 Bath Street. This grade-II listed pub opened in 1809 and closed in 2025.

it reopened in November 2025 and is now trading as one of the Punch - Unity Social Pubs. Wet only, but with a full range of draught beers. Still offering live music and sports screens, normally 11-12am close, but 1am for music events. It's been pitched as a cheap (£2.50 pints across the range) lively boozer. Punch are promising a rolling refurbishment starting in the near future.
