I was a friend of Norman, son of the landlord of the Bell, Mr McLean and
after the York Bros school bus dropped us off from school at St Winnolds
at Salcy Lawn, at the bottom of Bridge street, would sometimes go home
with him to play with meccano and have dinner with his mother, father
and grandmother. Mr McLean moved from the Bell to the Broadmead Hotel. |
