Jolly Butcher

The Jolly Butcher was situated at 138 High Street. In 1847 and 1851, this was reported to be a butcher and beershop. In 1854 it was shown as The Jolly Butcher, a beershop with a slaughterhouse to the rear. By 1861 it was uninhabited, and was never involved in the alcohol trade again.
