The Ship Inn was situated at
Staines Bridge. My Grandad, Charles James
Maillou was licensee in the 1920s, possibly earlier, he also conducted a
Charabanc hire business from the premises with Charles Hudson. The charabanc
partnership closed in 1922. Grandad and Nan, Helen Louise (nee Cates), lived
in and owned several properties in Glebe Rd.he passed away when, I was two
years old, in 1954. The pub has now been demolished with offices built on
the site. |
