The Goat [very applicable if you were born like
me in January - Capricorn], was a very important pub in thge community
hosting many interesting personalities. It did reach the finals once of the
Pub of the Year Competition assessed by Marty Feldman. Barbara Windsor was a
visitor, as she was well known to the pub owners George & Maisie Tozer, who
both originated from the East End of London. A pub, as always full of
characters, as the publican George was a real character and very well known
from his days of running a cafe in London's East End. |
