The White Hart was situated at 126 Theobalds
Road. Now demolished, union offices stand on the site. |

I used to drink in this pub in the early 70s. It was a
Watney's house, and did a rather good homemade vegetable pie at lunchtime.
This is the first place I spent any decimal currency at lunchtime on the day
when it was introduced. I seem to recall that the veg pie used to cost 10p!
Those were the days - although I don't have to drink Watney's Special any
more. |

Known as The Goldfish Bowl to locals on account
of the large glass windows all around it. |
