My Nan and grandad lived next door
at 421 Bethnal Green Road, it was my grandads second home!! Nan and
Grandad had a salad stall in B G Road and on Sundays in Brick Lane. I
“had” my 10th birthday in the pub, the only kid there and had to sit by
the door in case a copper came in! |

Only place I could get a drink late on a Sunday. Fond memories. Irish
wasn't it? I was a customer. |
