Public House. Two storey three bay stone
building with simple dormers on each bay, under a pitched gabled tile roof.
The building has since been extended at the rear to create a catslide roof,
with a clear building scar showing the original extent of the south gable
elevation. Dentil course under eaves. Windows are replacement 2 over 2 sash,
with painted lintels and sills. One gable and one ridge stack. Rough, small
quoins on corners. The Blue Horse is not mentioned in White's 1856 Trade
Directory, and John Wilson (butcher) is listed as victualler at the inn in
1872. |
