A Public House marked on the ordnance survey
1906-8 25 inch to 1 mile maps.
Known as the Railway Hotel, former Local Listed Building.
Designed by E W Farebrother. Built in red stock bricks with Ancaster and
blue Idle stone dressings and strings, the roofs covered with green
Westmoorland slate.
Listed as the Railway Tavern in the Chas Dawson Directory of 1877.
Listed as the Railway Tavern, proprieter William Colebrook, in the 1906
Trade Directory. |
