The Crown & Anchor was situated on the

From NE Lincolnshire Heritage: |
|
A Public House marked on the ordnance survey
1906-8 25 inch to 1 mile maps. Recorded as the Crown and Anchor beer house
occupied by Ernest Pratt in a directory of 1906-7. Recorded in the Chas
Dawson's Directory of 1877 as being at 53 Freeman Street - this could
suggest an error in the directory, a relocation of the pub or a renumbering
of the street; 57 Freeman Street is recorded as a Singer Sewing Machine
agents premises. |
