The Blue Bull was situated at 64
Westgate. This pub was originally built as a farmhouse in the 18th century.
It was used as a pub by 1826 when the publican was William Brown. Closed in
2015, planning approval has been given for conversion to a 16-bedroom hotel. |

Public House. Two and a half storey rendered
painted brick and stone building, under a hipped pantile roof. One ridge
stack, and one modern lateral stack on the rear elevation. Two gable
dormers. Blue painted Greco-Roman columned door surround. One of Grantham's
famous 'Blue' pubs. John Brown listed as victualler at the Blue Bull in both
White's 1856 and 1872 Trade Directories. |
