The Wellington was situated on Vauxhall Road, closing in 2008. It has now been converted into a house of multiple occupation.

This pub was bought by Soames Brewery in 1925 and subsequently sold to Steward & Patteson in 1949.

From Heritage Lincolnshire
Originally an early 19th century public house named The Wellington Inn. The public house was closed by 2009 and was converted into multiple dwellings. The two-storey building is constructed of brick, rendered white, with a hipped slate roof and a ridge chimney stack. There were originally two doors to the ground floor, one on the corner of Vauxhall Road and Freiston Road and another on Vauxhall Road at the western end of the public house. The former was converted into a window at some point and ultimately bricked up when the building was converted into multiple dwellings. At some point prior to the closure of the public house a door was added to the façade's 19th century shop architrave and cornice, all of which remain in situ. A window under this architrave was replaced with a door to access one of the converted dwellings in 2009-2010

Colin Goddard 1965/1970 This was my local as a youth. I used enjoy a pint there and then onto the chippy next door. When I was younger my parents would send me to the Bottle and Jug to get their bottles of booze.
