The publican was Charles Woodcock from about
1890 to 1913/14. He was my great grandfather, he then later went onto
another pub, The Ball Inn also in Boston. He was a publican for 55 years
until he died at the age of 91. |

Early 19th Century public house of rendered
brick, under a pitched gabled pantile roof. One gable and one ridge stack,.
2 storey, 3 bay front. On the ground floor were glazed corner and front
entrance doors with transom windows. Casement windows to ground and first
floor. Demolished in the 1960s as part of the Lincoln Lane redevelopment.
This site is now a car park. |
