The site of a 19th century public house,
since demolished. It was L-shaped in plan, and was a two storey, three bay
brick construction, under a hipped slate roof. On the ground floor
(overlooking Witham Place) was a central doorway with overlight flanked by
single plain sash windows and a string course level with window heads. On
the first floor were two sash windows with plain masonry heads and sills. A
horizontal sign with the words ‘Rose & Crown’ above the eaves. |
