New Park Inn

New Park Inn, Boston

The New Park Inn was situated on South End. The publican in 1896 was William Bentham, in 1919 Joseph Brightley.
This was a Soames Brewery pub that was sold to Steward & Patteson in 1949, and then subsequently to Batemans. It closed in the 2000s.

A corner red-brick building built in the late 19th century with 20th century alteration. The building is 2 storeys high with an attic and gabled roof, there is a catslide roof to the rear. The ground floor has three doors, one on the South End façade, another on the Skirbeck Road façade, and another in the corner of the building. The main elevation on South End has three bays. The ground floor has a central doorway flanked by two sash windows. The first floor has a cast iron balcony above the central doorway, flanked by a further two sash windows. The building was originally a public house and was known as 'The New Park Tavern' and later as 'The Haven'. The public house closed in the early 21st century and is now a restaurant.
