The Britannia was situated at 4-8 Church Street. This pub closed in 2025 with planning permission granted for conversion to commercial use with flats above. It had been owned by Batemans Brewery since 1924.

A public house and shop dating from the early 18th century which underwent alterations in the mid 19th and 20th centuries. It was constructed of red brick and has pantile roofs with a gable stack. The interior retains the 1900s bar fittings.
