The Cunard was situated at 43-47 Stanley Road, on the corner of Boundary Street. This pub was demolished in 2023.

Michele Scott 1972/1976 My parents were publicans at the Cunard vaults , it was called then; they had it as a tenancy we had good times there, they decorated the whole pub, and got the customers back, by having live music. every weekend , a pool table in the bar, they use to put food on , it was always busy, Bob and Vera scott, publicans at that time; they done well there and worked hard made enough money to retire to ISle of man bought a hotel cash .
