I was born in this pub in July 1958. My grandparents owned the pub at
the time. William James and Teresa Hall. My mother Shirley worked behind
the bar. I have happy memories of visiting my gran and grandad, I was
obviously not allowed in the pub area as a child but remember being
greeted by the customers as I sat on the front doorstep with a bag of
crisps and a soft drink in the summertime! Happy days!. |
