Kisby's Hut, Papworth Everard

Kisby's Hut was situated on Ermine Street North. This was an 18th century coaching stop. It was rebuilt after a fire in 1913 and closed in 2006 after which it was converted to an Indian restaurant.
Kisby's Hut was founded in around 1770, possibly called "The Horseshoe" at some point in its history,  went back to being "Kisby's Hut" in the early 1900s.

My grandfather used to drink in this pub in the 1920s and 1930s and would sadly no longer recognise it.
Ian Hammond (May 2011)
