Went there on Friday evenings
waiting for my girlfriend now wife and some friends while they attended
a karate club nearby. I sat in the lounge bar and remember there was
always an old fellow sitting alone. He never said a word, just stared
ahead into the distance occasionally extending his arm out straight and
pointing. I imagined that he was a WW2 veteran. |
