The Cross Keys was situated on Bristol Road and closed in 2008. This pub was
established by 1831 and is now used as a motor trade outlet specialising in
wheelchair access vehicles |
|

|
My grandfather was a farm labourer c1912 and after working the fields using a plough that he used walk behind
his boss would the go with him to the Cross Keys to quench their thirst. I
think they drank mainly cider. |
