The Cross Keys was situated on Bristol Road and closed in 2008. This pub was established by 1831 and is now used as a motor trade outlet specialising in wheelchair access vehicles

My grandfather was a farm labourer c1912 and after working the fields using a plough that he used walk behind his boss would the go with him to the Cross Keys to quench their thirst. I think they drank mainly cider.

Baz Gascoyne	1980-1984	My father was the landlord of this pub. His name was Joseph Gascoyne, known as Snowy. Her ran it with his wife Christine, They had two children Sharon and Stephen. He was a bit of a rogue. Apparently he did a runner with some money and fruit machines. As I did not know him very well I would love to hear from anyone who remembers him and use to drink in the pub. I am trying to collate as much information about him and his life in the UK but also when he lived in Zambia. I have heard the god, bad, ugly and damn right funny so nothing will shock me.
