The Spread Eagle was situated on Dovecote Street. This pub closed c1980 and has now been demolished to make way for the Wellington shopping centre.

Kenneth Briggs	1960-1968	My grandma used to run this pub. I was born in 1952 but went with her many times and sat in the corner drinking lemonade.
