I used to
have this friend called Liz who's family used to manage The Grove Pub which
used to be opposite the Young Offenders place in Grove Road, Portland
Island,,Dorset in the sixties era. It is where they the new housing estate
is now. Whilst staying there in the summer we used to hang around with these
lads who lived on Portland, who had these scooters. When l went back home to
Bristol after staying a week, l lost contact with Liz,
The pub was eventually demolished. I know Liz had a brother who was sturdy
in stature and wore glasses.
Liz would be in her late seventies or early eighties now. |
