The Railway Hotel was situated on Station Road. This pub was built in the 1860s and closed in the 1980s. It was subsequently demolished with a commercial building now standing on the site.

In the1950's and 60'S the North East Cheshire Jazz Club met there on Friday nights to listen to Dixieland bands, meet girls and down a few draughts.
