The City Arms was situated at 56 Chester Street. This pub was present by
1851. Billed as the “First and Last Pub in England”, as it was very close to
the Welsh border, it closed on 4 March 2018. It has since been converted
into a guest house called City Hotel following a successful planning
application in May 2020. |
