From Cambridgeshire Heritage: |
|
The Rose and Crown is located at the junction
of East Road and Newmarket Road and had its own brewery in the 1850s and
1860s. Other notable inter-war pubs survive, but only as shells, their
interiors having been gutted as part of conversion for other uses. This is
the case, for instance, at the Rose and Crown, Cambridge (1928 Basil Oliver;
converted as an estate agent's in c.2010). |
