Fitzroy Street. This pub closed in 1971 and was demolished to make way for
the Grafton Centre shopping precinct. |

I used to live in Burleigh St, just two minutes walk
away. During the time we used the place it was a bikers pub (Rockers in
those days). I am not sure of the dates but Pat Hart was a landlord
there, he was a speedway champion which would account for the bike
thing. These were the days when the Triumph Bonneville was king. |
