Helen Christini	1956/1975	The landlord was Thomas O'Malley and his daughter was my childhood best friend. Big Mick was head barman and he lived upstairs. There were many rooms upstairs. I often stayed for sleepovers. I lived 2 doors along on Scrubbs Lane. Dad used to sing there in the saloon bar at the weekends. The new housing at the beginning of Scrubs Lane is built on what was the private pub garden and the site of 5 Scrubbs Lane.
