Keston Mark

The Keston Mark was situated at 65 Croydon Road. This pub closed in 2008 and is now used as flats. It was previously known as The Red Cross.

My 4x great grandfather, John William Gordon was landlord of the Red Cross at Keston in 1851. He died in 1852 but his wife, Ann, stayed on and was the landlady until 1858.  The Red Cross was renamed The Keston Mark, to avoid confusion with the well known international organisation, and was later turned into private flats, around 2008
