My 4x great grandfather, John
William Gordon was landlord of the Red Cross at Keston in 1851. He died in
1852 but his wife, Ann, stayed on and was the landlady until 1858. The
Red Cross was renamed The Keston Mark, to avoid confusion with the well
known international organisation, and was later turned into private flats,
around 2008 |

When I left it was thriving, now very sad to see it has
been developed into flats. |
