Share warrant to bearer for
25 shares of £1 each, in this British company formed to exploit
the Russian Spassky copper mine in Kazakhstan. Original
signatures of director and the company secretary. Text in both English and French.

The company was formed by
Nelson and Arthur Fell in 1903, and by 1904 the mine employed
1800 people. In 1914 land was acquired in Sary Soo to build a
concentration plant to process the increasingly less rich ore
that was being extracted from the mine. The mine was
nationalised by the Soviets in 1918 and eventually closed in
1921.
Certificate size is
40
cm high x 27 cm wide (16.5" x 11"). It will be mounted
in a mahogany frame, with gold inlay, size 45 cm high x 35 cm
wide.
The certificate is shown unframed
